Its all in the satchel

Plain and simple…. I’m sure you guys would know this about me by now… This is what I wore for an afternoon stroll at rosebank on saturday. I was REALLY feeling for Spur so my sweet hubby treated me to a lunch turned supper date. I prefer heels at night but on saturday I just felt like “kicking it” in pumps and “T”.

I received this satchel from a very special person that always spoils me at any opportunity. I’m very fussy so buying anything for me can be quite a drag. And no, its not my hubby this time… ;)

Paisley Shirt

Hello beauties :)

I just love this shirt I bought some time back at Mr Price. I found it on sale for only R59.99…. Yeah baby! I just love a good bargain. Don’t you? The colours are so much fun and although the shirt is a bit “busy”, it can be worn with almost anything…. I wore this shirt with a pair of diesel jeans (you will soon notice that I am a diesel fan of note) and soft gold pumps. Hope you like it :)

Flower power

Ok so its not flower power per say… but you can’t deny its powerfulness :) Love this top which is another bargain item I found at china town. I read a tweet recently that said “cheap clothes are cool. Clothes that look cheap are not. Know the difference” Some people take bargain shopping to a whole new level, which is not always a good thing. Just because its cheap does not mean that it looks good and it certainly doesn’t mean its value for money…. Remember this when you are on your next bargain hunting spree

I wore this top with my oldest pair of diesel jeans that I own. Next month, my jeans will be celebrating their 8th birthday <— Yes I have them for that long (A gift from my sisters for my birthday) They have torn and been patched up twice because I just can’t part with it. The fit is just perfect (called a Hush fit) and the wash was referred to as a “772” wash. Probably thee best wash ever created by diesel. I’m very particular about the jeans I wear. A good jeans will always stand the test of fashion time…. so invest!

Coral maxi- Take 1

I absolutely love this maxi skirt. The colour and pocket details immediately caught my eye when I saw the skirt at YDE. Oh and the “free” belt is definitely what sold me. You will soon notice that I love pockets… Don’t worry, I don’t stuff my pockets with a whole lot of goodies so they don’t actually serve a purpose. I guess I’m just an attention to detail kind of gal.

Blogger style crush- Chic all over

I came across Veronica’s blog and absolutely fell in love. She has a plain yet funky style & does not lack in versatility at all. I love the way she mixes and matches the same items while keeping her look “fresh”. There’s something about her style that makes me check her blog everyday. <—- Yes I’m a stalker! From colour blocking to print mixing, she rarely gets it wrong! I find her blog to be my very own fashion gem!

Her style may not be the conventional idea of “fashionable”, but I can relate to her understated yet effective style. The affordability of some of her pieces are just as appealing as her style. Or maybe its the fact that she also has short hair… lol! I decided to post my top 10 looks but failed dismally at narrowing it down. So I’ve posted her top 14 looks I #L.O.V.E! Did you see the floral pants she rocks in the print mix with the stripe top? Well, I have the exact same one and can’t wait to rock it!!!!!
