Hello there beauties :)
New years eve 5 or 6 years ago would’ve been spent partying into the new year leaving little or no energy to do anything on new years day except lounge around. My idea of fun has evolved significantly; while some may find the “transformed” me boring, I love the person I’ve become. This may make me sound like I’m 26 (gasp! Still trying to get use to my new age) going on 70, but I really have “been there, done that, got the t-shirt and blogged it”- New me is craving a different quality of life.
After spending most of my birthday in Hartebeespoort, I discovered so many hidden treasures that I never found appealing before, but I’m dying to try now. When Ismail suggested Cable Carts in the H- Town over mainstream Sun City for New Years Day, I was obvs game! (I love Sun City; I just hate Sun City on New Years Day)
Gorgeous weather, a (misfit) group of peeps, fattening pizza and a spectacular view were just the right ingredients for an awesome day! I really enjoyed having lunch on a man made deck in the hills. Everything is so chilled and its the ideal place for a picnic. If we could take a webber braai into the cable cart we probably would’ve had a good old braai; I’m a sucker for a good piece of braai steak and potato salad.
Now that H- Town and I will be seeing a lot more of each other, I will be introducing a few “Dora Nas the Explorer” type posts in between fashion and (occassional) travel posts. I took a lot more pics of my peeps than the scenery because, you know, we all needed new social media profile pics- LOL!
Xoxo
