Happy July Fashionistas

 

I can’t believe we’ve officially entered the second half of the year. TIME.IS.FLYING! The 1^st half of the year has been great thus far and I hope the 2^nd half is even better (God willing)

 

What do you think of my street style look? I’m really having fun with fashion and taking a lot more risks lately. What started out as a Saturday hunt for a pair of boyfriend jeans at Zara turned into the purchase of these really “hood” jeans at Diesel, and I couldn’t be happier. Le husband was so surprised when I agreed to “give these jeans a try” and almost had a heart attack when I said “This is so me”.

I debuted these jeans on Saturday night to a friends birthday party so before you give me the look of shame, I confess to wearing the same jeans 2 days in a row LOL. Happy Monday!

Just a quick blog post on what I wore like 2 weeks ago. As I mentioned in my previous post, I ADORE these boots. Although we’ve hit the winter period, we’ve had some ridiculously hot days which allow for tee’s and dresses to be worn on their own, so don’t go packing your summer wear away just yet.

I love this casual yet chic black dress that I bought while on holiday last year. Speaking of holiday, I’ve got a trip roughly planned which should be coming up soon. I’ll let you know where I’ll be travelling to closer to the time. WHOOP WHOOP! (I’m excited. Can you tell?)

Faux Fur Fever

Why Hello there Fashionistas and happy Thursday!

This is what I wore last Saturday evening (Yes I’m that delayed) for a little coffee date with Le Husband. I haven’t quite acquainted myself with all the settings of my new camera as yet hence the below average picture quality. I have my photography training course booked for next month and will be working on improving the quality of my blog thereafter.

Before I digress further, how awesome is this Faux Fur sleeveless jacket? I bought it at Legit and couldn’t wait to face JHB’s cold weather in it. Now that I’ve worn it, can we fast forward to the part where the sun shines and getting out of bed every morning is a little easier?

The reason for my existence this winter will definitely be these boots. (This is my subtle way of warning you that you will see these boots on my blog quite often over the next few weeks) They are so comfy and chic and go with everything! My next look post was also styled around these boots and I’ll try to have it posted a little later today

Well hello there

I would say “Happy Monday” but I’m having a rather bitter sweet day. Bitter? Power cables were stolen yesterday which dropped the power supply of an entire neighbourhood (obvs it included our neighbourhood) so we haven’t had electricity since 3pm yesterday. The worst part about  this huge inconvenience? The battery of my snazzy new camera wasn’t charged so my old faithful had to do the trick. (BLEH! I’m having a bit of a diva moment)

Sweet? Before I start sounding too depressing, my sister is arriving today for a (VERY SHORT) visit. Not only will I get to see her, but I’ll also be receiving 2 pairs of Zara shoes that I have been swooning over for forever and a day. Not such a bad day after all

Onto my #ootd yesterday…. Easy. Comfortable. Relaxed. That just about sums up this outfit. I wore my favourite tracks (see how I wore it in my Tracks and a tee post) nike blazers, a plain tee and Le Husbands jacket. The jacket is slightly too big but as usual, my style knows no limits (even my husbands closet lol)

Hello again lovelies

I always give myself a high five when I blog 2 days in a row LOL (*High 5 Nas*) This is what I wore on Sunday and boy oh boy do I LOVE these boots. Its a bit granny but thats what I love about them. I saw them at woolies and just had to have them. I was also lusting over the burgandy pair but I’ll have to add them to my future lust list otherwise I will need to be booked into Shopaholics anonymous

 



Another great addition to my accessory collection is this thick gold necklace. I was sooooo excited when I found it just hanging all by itself in a lonely corner in Diva. It looks great with anything!

Monochrome work wear

 

This is the first of my many work look posts to come. This is a classic monochrome outfit that is both plain and simple yet appropriate for the office. Wearing a pencil skirt makes me feel so “workified” and womanly. I just love corporate wear!

Neon love take 2

 

A pop of neon to make a plain outfit stand out! I found these shoes at the woolies sale for a fraction of the original price... It was the last pair & in my size (I just love it when that happens) This tee once belonged to Le husband but it shrunk in the washing machine and has since been handed down to me. Its slightly to big for me but I’d never say no to a hand me down lol.
